how can you say one machine is better than the other when you never seen a gas gas?just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not just as good as other machines.

personally, i think its more based on the rider than the quad anyways.... i know one of my friends that i could blow away if i was on a blaster and he was on a yfz. i mean, sure.. the machines all have their own differences and are superior to each other in their own way, but i think its basically on how u ride and what's most confortable for u.

i'm not sure that this 'fatty' guy deserves any more replies. what needs to be said is that HIS 'ultimate' quad is HIS.... and IMO he can keep it.

i'm now at 18 months on my 1st top end in my gasgas 300 with no major problems, no DNF's... and i've been racing it pretty hard for the last 12 months. of those it included 6 WORCS races, 8 local GP races, and a number of MX races(I lost count), a trip to the GNC at glen helen, a few trips to the dunes and plenty of play riding & practice. sure, i've had to do some maintenance, but nothing major. it just happpens.... i'm finally going to re-ring it!

i'm not sure what gasgas is doing about teh 2006 epa stuff... they may stop bringing in the 300, but may be able to continue under limited production clauses. i don't know.

they will continue to bring in the 450.

That's unless they can put more money into their engines to meet the EPA laws, which Yamaha could do...It's just that they didn't want to spend millions of dollars into more research and redesigns of their 2 stroke motors (Banshee,Blasters). I guess we all have to face that it IS the four stroke revolution and that's just how it is. Four strokes have come a looonngg way in the last ten years, I mean cmon...NO four strokes could even hang with a banshee or 250R and the zillas, but now here comes the DS650's,Raptors,YFZ450's, and TRX450's. I have heard that Yamaha will still make 1 stroke motocross bikes, but that would be for motocrossers. (I dunno).

Oh and by the way, I vote for the YFZ450 on every aspect listed (Drag,1/4,trails,track).
