CAMS?
#1
hey, im not sure about this. my friend has a 04 400ex and he had a 440 big bore kit put in and a stage 1 hot cam in it. the dealer said that a stage 1 cam gives more performance than a stage 2. hot cams dont make a cam for my 2000 yamaha beartracker but "web cams" do ( http://www.webcamshafts.com ) and they have stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 cams. which would give me the most performance? thanks - fanninator
p.s. --- i know this is is a utility post but i thought that the sport guys would know more about performance than us utility guys. thanks again!

My buddy installed a web all around cam in his 400ex and it rips pretty good. It seems like the web cams are more aggressive for racing than the hotcams. The web race cams will give you tremendous mids and top end while you only have a minimal decrease in low end power. I'm sure a high comp piston will counteract that though, I would go with the web.
