The ATK website say that they will have a 650cc sport quad for magazine review soon. It will be a husaberg powered machine.. wow it's a good time to be alive.
Here is the quote
"650cc Ready to Race Works Quad
We have a verbal agreement with Husaberg to purchase their new 650 liquid cooled motors for our new quad project. At this time we are developing prototypes to be built around this new high horsepower lightweight motor. This new quad will be a high performance ready to race, works type quad. This new quad should be available in March/April. It will be introduced at the Indy show in February. We will have two working prototypes available for the various four-wheller magazines to have a look and ride on in the near future. These magazines are quite anxious to get their hands on this new quad."
this is right off thier web sight.

The only problem is that it will cost way to much money for the normal human being to buy. Back in the early 90's ATK put a few quads together around a 650 thumper(air cooled) into a lonestar chassis. Very high quality, but at around 15 to 18 thousand each, the demand was never very high. Even if they could do it for around 10 grand, how many could afford it? ATK is not going to make very many of these quads anyhow. Besides, I wouldn't want a Huseberg motor in my neighborhood, let alone anything I actually own.

so then it isn't going to be the same husaberg quad as tested b4 in the magazines, but just share the same engine different frame and plastic? So does that mean that husaberg will also still market the 600cc njord that is found at there website too? Also does anyone know wher i might find some of those pics of those quads that atk manufactured back in the early 90's I am trying to compose a scrapbook of every atv 230cc or higher ever produced and am only missing suzuki's 250 quadsport that replaced the 230 and apparently this machine made by atk thanx for the help

thanks for that link. i did some reasercg before and the ds 650 is as good as it from what i here but the atk was in a lone star frame the prob is you need 15K to get one and can buield a sweet 250r for that much money that will be better in most places except the straits the hot seat quad looks cool 130 HP but that much power sounds like a drag quad only

YES THAT IS ONE SENTENCE (SORRY)
