Battle of the 450s

It's whichever you prefer. The YFZ has a very snappy, almost 2-stroke-like powerband. It's great for the motocross track. The 450R has a smoother, but strong power delivery that benefits cross-country and trail riders a little bit more. Both can easily be used for the other purpose and experience great success. They both have awesome suspensions, brakes, etc. It really comes down to how you want a quad's power to come on.

YFZ for the track or freestyle jumping. (I don't do either, so that is an easy decision for me.)
TRX for open desert or fast more open trails. Perhaps some slower tighter trails, with some grearing changes.
Neither one for and kind of real slow technical trail riding.
