I think i know where he got 32 h.p. On my title and certificate of oragine, it states that it has 35 h.p. I thought it was a type error but the dealer said that it was right. But B-4 u ask them what that says ask the sales man he'll tell u around 29-30 h.p. Whats up with this?

two of my friends have raptors and yeah ive ridden the raptor a crap load of times. and yeah the kfx is always in front on the trails, usually cause im towing it after it breaks down. no lies theyve had more problem with thier craptor then any other kids i ride with, granted theyre both 2001 models though and arent known for being a good bunch. but who gives a crap anyways casue theyre both fun quads.

The is now "quicker" but not "faster". The quickness is acceleration. Not how fas you can go. But i think your half right. The z did gain a couple on top end. But the raptor is still 3-4 mph faster, And still acelerates faster. But the right ryder at the right time can get the jump on the raptor allowing the raptor to pass only once it hits 4th gear, that is if the raptor ryder make a mistake.

yea, I was wondering that myself. I've never hit it on my raptor, I heard a lot of z's bouncining off the rev limiter at the dunes, it seems kinda low to me...
anyways, one thing you should also think about is the potential, I'm a very power hungry guy, and one of the reasons I decided to buy the raptor was the power. As a stock machine, it just pulls and pulls. Even though some people think that the horsepower is low for having such a big displacement, it has a longer stroke and therefore a lot of torq. I don't know about a z400, but the raptor is really restricted stock, with a full exhaust system, you'll see a huge horsepower gain. I know that the yoshi comp system ($400) gives you like 10-11 horsepower, and a few other pipes give you a little more.
I'm one of those people that like to upgrade my ride, so since I would be buying suspension components anyways, the handling issue didn't reall come into play. Contrary to what people think the raptor is not going to tip over every time you turn the handlebars... If it's an issue for you then it is easily fixed with an axle or spacers. The z is a great machine, I've only riden one at a dealer so this is why I can't say too much about it.
