And what are the two most recent quads? That would be fuel injected.

The 700R and the cannondales are the only quads with fuel injection as of now. I think the samethink that that happened with cars and trucks in 86 is going to happen with quads in the near fucture. They are all going to convert to fuel injection. Fuel Injection means cleaner burning fuel. I dont care one way or an another beacuse i know for a fact that a properly tuned carb is capeable of producing big horsepower numbers.

The 700R and 'dales are the only SPORT quads with EFI. Some utility quads have it. Chances are its an open loop system which uses no O2 sensor so it will have to be mapped.

Rotorys are a decent design. I would consider them a 1/3 stroke engine (although there really isn't a "stroke"). Emissions are why 2 strokes are being banned and rotory's aren't much better unless they are turboed. They don't have valves, but ports like a 2stroke. You can't get the high compression needed for a complete burn in a rotory. Twin aluminum rotors would be neat in a quad though just because it would be different.

I am going to ask someone if he cares about some traffic - he has changed over a quad to throttle body fuel injection, pretty cool. He made his own control board and everything. will let ya know

There could never be a 3 stroke engine. A 2 stroke fires everytime the piston reaches tdc (top dead center) well, actually a few degrees before depending on timing. A 4 stroke fires every other time. Each time it goes up or down it's counted as a stroke so a 3 stroke would have to fire at bdc (bottom dead center) every other time it fired which is 100% impossible as you need to compress the air fuel mixture to combust then where would it drive the piston? It's already down.
As for fuel map automaticaly adjusting the air fuel mixture that is untrue. You can have your computer re-mapped to fatten up the fuel mixture.
