YZF 250 vs. Quads Drag Racing
#1
What do you have to have to beat a dirt bike through the drag? I mean I had YFZ 450 modded tohell and back and still got outrun by those damn stock bikes!!...Now I have a stock Banshee, and can I make it outrun a D bike?

You'll have a much better chance by spending money on the mighty Banshee than the 4-puke YFZ.
I smoke TRX450Rs all day long with ease. The Banshee may be similar to the TRX stock, but once you start modding the 2-stroke motor, it goes to another class altogether. It does take a lot of HP to overcome a 150 lb weight advantage though. A piped 250 2-stroke MXer is going to be 50+ HP and around 210 lbs, you will have your work cut out for you.

2-strokes fair alot better in high end power when you mod them compared to any four stroke. It will take a good amount of cash for a Banshee to take a 250 2-stroke bike. The power to weight ratios on those bikes are unbelieveable.

Don't expect to outrun any more dirtbikes with your Banshee than you did with your YFZ. Banshees arn't any faster unless you go ALL OUT to modify it, and that takes alot of money, time, and patience.
A strong running piped and cam modded YFZ can make 50 HP and only weigh 350 lbs or less, thats hard to beat. The 250 bikes have an even better power to weight ratio which makes it pretty hard to beat them in a drag and hill shoots with any quad. the YZF 250 prolly makes over 40 HP and only weighs 200-250 lbs, thats quite an advantage.
