so, ive been playing with the kill myself abilities of my new pred and im TRYING to pull it into a long wheelie. first off, im not afraid of the bike at all, i think it says alot for that stance when i was pulling wheelies on my sportsman 800 and riding them a fair distance, and that beast weighed 800 pounds.

anyway, ive been trying sitting, standing up, and even putting the foot in the grab bar, but i just cant seem to find the balance point. i think/feel my main problem is being a little jittery on the throttle to an extent. when i pull it up, i either ease off too soon and the front drops, or i give it too much and i let off to much. atleast thats what i think. its level land that im riding on, but theres a few good pits in it that may be effecting me, im not too sure on it.

any ideas or suggestions?

i dont want the quad to come back ontop of me, i know the grab bar can stop the quad to a limited extent, but having the quad fall on me i dont feel will be a good highlight of my wheelie learning experience

First off.......the pred is not made to wheelie......that is some of your reason.......remember that is is made to keep the power to the ground, and keep the wheels on the ground too.......With my suspension, I can flip it in 1st gear......and can just barely pull the front wheels up in 2nd........

Take your time, and you will get the hang of it.....I too have had problems with it. Try standing in your grab bar......to keep in up on two wheels easier, it will give you a feel for the break point a lot easier........

a guy that lives by me has an 03 and he can pull it up in everygear, he's stronger then **** but he can pull her up and ride it through everygear

ur GNCC edition should be able to handle it w/ease

i do get where brad's going tho, it's ment to keep the power on the ground...

just practice, like he said, u'll get it down

well i have the front tires about 1 1/2 feet to 2 feet off the ground, so im betting that im not high enough yet, i tried putting my foot in the foot peg and it didnt feel comfortable, felt like i was going to litterally throw myself off. either im jittery with the throttle, or because im sitting down i think the front end is higher than it really is. i donno, wrists are starting to get a little sore

Yeah definetely higher than 2 feet. Probably 45 degrees or a little higher. Maybe 1 tooth down on the front will help you out. There was an awesome thread on here where this guy had a link to an article (Which a forum member wrote.) explaining in great detail the art of a wheelie. I forget the guys nickname, but he's from some stunt group called cvb boys.

yeah i have is article printed out and hung up in the barn for reference, im not really getting into this for pure wheelieing ect, i just want to be able to pull a good wheelie, i dont want to be able to keep it going forever, if i can, awesome, as long as i can pull a nice one im set.
