first time flipper

I finally flipped the quad today. I was just cruising around in 1st gear looking for something to do in a huge gravel pit and I came up to a little 4 foot steep hill and decided to go up it for the heck of it. I went up it in 1st gear and I couldnt make it up and the dirt/mud/rocks were wet and my back tires sank and for some reason I just fell backwards and i scrambled befor it fell on me. I landed on a huge rock in the middle of my back and I bent my handle bars... Oh well, it was fun

same...perfect example of why i wear a chest protector/roost deflector (fox airframe) incase i bail off and i dont have big rocks hit my back and hurt as much. Also if the handlebars were to land on your chest the force would be dispersed alot more minimizing injury.

i just flipped mine for the first time too, i was at a sand pit and there is a huge wall/ hill that it fun to climb and roost on, but there is one spot in the hill that goes from a slope to straight up so i tried going up and got air then my back tires hit and shot out from under me, my bike rolled down the hill 3 times before coming to a stop on its side. i was kinda pissed but when i found out there was no damage i was thrilled

This is funny. I flipped my freinds quad (V 700) before. I was so stupid, i was backing down a paved driveway and cranked the handle bars while going down fast. The quad flipped and my head bashed against the ground with the quad on top of me. That day i was thinking about not wearing a helmet but i think Murphy, Murphy's Law, gave me a chance. The only thing wrong with the quad was a broken front fender, bent hadlebar, and ripped seat. cheese, i dont noe why he was so mad at me!! Welcome to the club.
The first thing I flipped was my ATC70 when I was around 8 years old. I was running laps around the pegs in the horseshoe pit, and my back tire caught one and the 3 wheeler ended up on top of me. I was afraid of it for a while, but then I got back to it.
Then when I was in my early teens I rolled my grandmothers Polaris Xplorer in a dry river bed. That one left me pretty messed up - I had a bunch of pebbles under the skin on my knee. Just hardens you up a little bit each time

It won't be the last! Once you've been riding for a few years and you start to get really fast, they become more intense than the bike simply rolling back on you. I don't "flip" my 250R anymore. I'd call it "cart-wheeling" and "tumbling" at this point!

yes...i cartwheeled my Eiger...it only weighs 600 pounds...in gravel too...hit a 2.5 foot high gravel pile (not leveled out or anything mind you) going about 45-55...front went down, rear went over front, over front, over front, into bushes....lol....my helmet went flyin (always fasten it now), one of my shoes came off....my glove that was VELCROED on came OFF...got back up found the bike and rode it another 30 miles back to the trailer...lots a fun...couldn't even be mad, seperated shoulder, messed up hip for a while and well over $600 in damage done too
