400 Ex vs. Scrambler 400
#5
Who cares which will go "fastest" in a straight line? How many of you ride all day in a straight line??? My buddy has a Scrambler, and it has to be one of the poorest handling machines I have ever ridden (I rate it right up there with the Warrior, and a couple thousand utility quads)! Kind of tall, heavy (top heavy), mediocre suspension, and rather clumsy handling (and it won't even start at high altitude).
All one needs to do to have the EX easily beat the Scrambler, is include a couple of turn in the racecourse. The Scrambler does have lots of power though, but better keep it pointed straight ahead.

I never understood why so many people are so concerned about straight line speed. A well balanced machine is my first priority.
