Hey,
Im just curious as to how many of you guys that live in cities have decided to take your quad for a rip around the block or what not and got complained and caught by the cops. Did they give you guys tickets or just warnings. I occassionaly take my around the block without problems but I want to the push the limit abit tonight or within the next couple and go to the school field at 9pm or so and meet a girl from work to show off haha. I just dont want to get a ticket lol nor a warning. Any of you guys have any bad experiences with the police or get off easy or got any advice?

That's the kind of stuff that give us all a bad name.

By contrast we have all done it. It really depends on your local laws and the cop but I know a few things you can get nailed for:
Uninsured operation of a motor vehicle
Opearting on public property
Tresspassing

And probably a few more. You're in Canada so the laws are probably different, they vary from state to state here in the US.

wow man, ur really annoying. are u gunna be the next etledew/fiddling round here? all u talk bout is how "ur quad" is better than every1 elses... which is not a great start on this forum.

anyways..... every1 has done it before... its sumthing u just cant resist. ive never gotten in trouble with the cops yet, kuz ive never met a mean cop on my quad (all luck). i remember one time i was around my neighborhood and a cop pulled in and waved and smiled and went along driving minding his own business..... he probably owns a quad at home, lol.

more advise.....

wear a helmet (one less ticket)

stay below speed limit (no reckless driving)

my friend got caught with no helmet goin 75 down a main road and got tons of tickets.... so in case u get caught, at least u dont get thousands of problems... just one or 2.

in the US, quads are allowed to be drivin on rual roads for 1/4 of a mile without a licence for farming reasons n' stuff, but if you get cought, and your goin REALLY fast, like above the speed limit in the middle fo the road, yeah yoru gonna get a bad load of tickets. but if your on the side fo the road riding on the white line at like 20mph i dont think theres much a cop can do other than pulling you over and giving you a stern warning, or a mild ticket. remember, that 15 on either side of federal roads is public property, and you can ride there (for a while atleast)
