Default Banshee Burnout

I just bought new back tires for my 2000 Banshee. I've always wanted to do a burnout and now that I'm getting new tires I'm planning on it.

I've never tried and my question is what gear I should start in. I thought 1st, but I don't want to have to shift and I don't want to chance blowing the motor.
All info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
