WHY, oh WHY does this question get asked so many times?
It doesn't matter unless the thing's going to be ridden wide open - any other time, a rider can more than make up for on a "slower" quad.

Even in a sand drag situation, you may have the fastest (production) quad made, and get smoked by a quad with less power, but better tires. And - often times in drag situations, races are won and lost on the start line.

I have a question of my own. Why ask about a stock quad, if you plan on modifying it? And for $7000, you can build a very fast drag Banshee.

 

Now that is post-hoin'. I think you need to talk to OFC, and get help.

 

Just get a DS650, they are the fastest production quad and have a great suspension and is wider than the Banshee and won't wear you out after a couple of days at the dunes. Mine went about 70mph stock and does about 80 with a few mods. I paid $6500 for it brand new including taxes and everything.

 

depends on your size...if u are a big guy then i would deffently go with ds650, if your a little guy i would go with somthing with a little less torque and H.p ....like the yfz , r450 or banshee..

 

I believe it is the yfv450.

 

now thats pretty funny, fastest production quad the ds 650 haha . what about the new 450's??????? a 450 will eat a 650 any day, the 450' stock will do over 70 and with mods they will do over 80 easy. man have you been a sleep for a couple years
