hi gUYS,

I just bought this mint 450 I have taken out the baffle, removed the lid but I keep messing with jets, I am running a 165 in it now and I have lost some bottom end torque but the top end is crazy fast, I had a 168 for the winter before but it was fouling up badly of course. I am going to get a 162.5 tomorow and try the lid back on. Except the plug is currently light gray. It;s supposed to be ok, I always tough white was lean but it can't be can it???????

Dont worry you havent done anything to your engine, but your 165-163 main jet sounds right. What needle position are you on????? since that will affect your midrange power, so i would suggest trying the 5th or 6th position. White is lean and a nice cardboard colour is was you want for the plug.

You need some back pressure for low end torque.

Thanks...

I brought it to the dealer and they put 158 main back in and topped up mid -range fuel, but honestly now it feels like I lost a gear, Now what is this about my rings, back pressure??? I didn't say the exhaust was off!!!! I app. the info anyhow, There is nobody out-there which is running stock bike with no cover, baffle out and a 168 main??I think I am going to put in back in and take the cover back off, Any idea which position I should put that clip up.

Also by the way any ride in quite west, ont. area
