Can any stock quad beat a YZ250?
stock for stock i dont think there is a quad that will beat it with matched riders, however when we were practicing at a motocross track a friend of mine was beating up on all kinds of bikes with his almost stock banshee, i think that would be the only quad close stock.

A lot is going to come down to the race itself, surface, rider talent, length, etc. If the start is pretty slick or full of loose gravel then there are probably a half dozen or so quads that can take a 250 dirtbike. Under more ideal launch conditions there is no way however.

Toyeboy, I have a stone stock 2000 YZ250 and a pair of piped yfz450's at my place. The 450's can and do take the dirtbike in drags, but it is almost always due to a bad start for the dirtbike. If it hooks up and doesn't wheelie(i.e. has a good rider, lol) it easily wins. You also have to think about fun factor though. I like quads a lot more than dirtbikes.
