dvx 400 engine noise

I have a 2004 artic cat dvx 400 and the engine seems to be kinda loud compared to what i am used to riding, utilitys, just wondering if this is normal for sport quads.

what do u mean the exhaust or the engine.

The engine it self like when it idles, My dad saYS it sounds like the valves. But this is my first sport quad so i have no idea

i have a Z400 and they are the same engines,and yes they make a little clicking noise,just how these bikes sound.

i love it so far,trying to get a pipe,probably a HMF, they have good power but im a power junkie and need a little more but they are great quads just dont buy a 03 model of these quads the frames are weak.
