Default Purchasing new Sport Quad

Hey all, im new here...and ive been riding a TRX300 for a while now, and ive out grown it, and need a new one.
I know for sure its either going to be the 450R or the YFZ450.

The only issue is that I am 6'2"... am I to big for these 2 quads?

Welcome to the forums

While they may not be the most comfortable for your size, I dont think you will be to big. I think the 450r is a little more roomy but you can get a good idea of how they feel to you by just sitting on them. Some people over 6 foot may feel cramped while others like how they feel. you are a bit big for those quads, id recomend looking in the predator 500/outlaw 525, raptor700, DS650 end of the market

The DS650 would certainly be a good candidate for your stature. If you need reverse in an atv, then the Raptor or V-Force will also be one to consider. You will have to ask yourself exactly what you want in a quad and get back with us on it. Then we can zero in on helping you find exactly what will fit you. Hope this helps.

A lot of my tall buddies, find the 450's to be a little cramped. Sit on both for a very long time before you make a decision.

What kind of riding do you plan to do??? You live is So Calif so I assume a lot of desert, but also you live in Elsinore, so maybe some track???? Any tight trail riding, like in the SB mountains????

The Honda 450R is the king of the desert! Multi-time winner of Baja and most other desert races. It's the ticket if that is where you will ride most.

If you are a track rider, then the Yamaha is probably the way to go.

I'm 6'2" and I have a YFZ. It is a bit small but that just makes it easier to toss around.

the only issue you may have is bar heigh, but htis can be fixed with a set of $75 risers.

Im 6'2" I've rode a stock yfz450 and it was fine i also rode a race ready 450r and i thought that the yzf fit more comfortably. Also if you are going to ride track get the new suzuki 450 it handles so nice and with a couple mods it really rips.

I'm 6'1" 240lbs and I have no problem on my z, my older brother's yfz, or my little brothers 400ex. They've never complained about any of them being too small either, and we all switch back and forth. In fact my "little" brother is getting a yfz, and he's 6'4" 215lbs. My older brother is 6' even and 280lbs.

Thanks all...So, I wont look "funny" with those 2 quads?... Im 15, so i weigh like 180 lol
Ya, I live in Elsinore, but i only go to the track like once every month, and I go on "desert camping trips" with the Toy hauler like every 1-2 months or so.

I used to have a KFX700, but that was a little heavy, and ya... haha My dad sold that one, and my Honda 300EX, and bought a KX450F dirtbike, and my mom and I are getting new quads.

Im kinda leaning towards the 450R
