Default 400's Whats the best?

IMO

Most dependable, the Honda.

Most buildable, the Suzuki class.

With the 400ex, DVX/LTZ/KFX 400's twins and the Predator 500 all being the same price I would without a doubt go with the Predator. The Predator is in a different class from these.
I am impressed with the performance of the polaris, but feel they still need to prove themselves in the reliability department.
The Suzuki and it's clones outhandle/accelerate... the 400ex, but I can't find myself getting over the solid performance and reliability of the hondas.

I think i will probably go with the honda. I have a 1997 300 honda and i drive the **** out of it, Never had any big trobles with it, I only had to redo the brakes and new rear axle bearings. Plus i like the look of the 400ex's better then the ltz's.

Personally the 400ex is kinda bland, nothing really speacial but still fun, and like others said its all in what you are going to put them threw. If ur gonna put it threw complete and utter hell, allways redlined and ridden hard.... go with the honda, and its great for trails, so light and manuverable. All the others are fast nible and also handle great but may bust under pressure. For all out speed, the pred 500 would not let you down. have you considered the YFZ 450 i dunno the price but its probably considerably more, so good luck ...
