Default Suggestions for a sport quad-

Hello All, Someday I plan to buy a 2nd ATV, right now I have my 05 Brute 650 SRA. I love it, it is a blast to drive but would like something I can do more jumping and playing around on. I do some with the Brute but there is only so much you can do with all that weight. I would like something sort of on the cheaper end of things but nothing thats too not worth buying. I am 6ft 220 so a smaller quad like a blaster is out I would think. I have never rode a Warrior but they are bigger. I have rode a 660r raptor and the pred. 500. The pred rode very nice. The raptor I didn't like as much, not near as smooth but it could be this certian raptor also. I have rode the kawi kfx700 also but it is heavy too. So any ideas? I saw a 01 warrior a few months back for $2000 that was very much like new but never rode it. What do you guys ride.

If i was you i'd spend like 3-4 grand and buy an 05 or newer z400/kfx. It will last a long time if you treat it well, a lot quicker then a warrior too

Any 05-06 Predator or Z-400 will do you well and should be able to find for less then $4500. Look for a TLD Pred as it will have the Podium X Fox shocks all around.

I would get something in the 400 range, mabey a 400ex? They are nice and low maintenace (they are air cooled). After riding a 660r and a predator you are going to want somethin faster than a warrior. Or, you could get a Banshee

How does the 400ex compare in machine size to the raptor or predator? I don't think I would get a raptor 660 after riding the one I rode. I really liked the predator though. How do all of them compare in machine weight also. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

One of the 400's (Z400 or 400EX) and the Raptor 700 are good choices for all-around machines.

Moving up from there, one of the 450's..........

We should first ask how much you want to spend, then we can leed you in the right direction. Just to let you know, you can tell us how much you want to spend, but you are probably going to spend more just like every other person who owns an atv

Now are the smaller raptors and the kfx's not that great? I saw someone mentioned it earlier in the post.

I just finished buying a Z400. My buddy has a 400EX. Both are great. he bought his 03, exceptionally clean, for $2900. I am a big guy, 6'2" 250, and both 400's fit me very well. I didn't like the raptors as much, not as much room from seat to foot pegs for a taller guy. The DS is fast, but I didn't like the way it handled, very heavy feeling. The 450's are a blast, but high maintenance.

I couldn't be happier with my chioce. The reliability was a big factor for me too since I beat the hell out of them.
