Well theres the suspension, power, speed, torque, value, cooling system and all the components. The 400ex is a tank for what it is, a more recreationaly set up bike, but for the same money pretty much you can get the 400z,kfx400,dvx400 with a lot more in it. They have everything, and there great bikes.

 

Ya, your probably right about that, I will say this, if your a little short guy such as myself,then the TRX400 will fit ya like a glove(better ergos.) You definately get more with the Z. I will give up the ergos. for the power. I guess Im on the Suzuki bandwagon.

 

i have a z 400 mod but when it was stock i beat alot of 400 ex everone says its the rider and thats true sometimes so we switched off and my z still beat the 400ex now im beating 450,s and 700 raptors since i got it mod

 

the fastest true sport 400 is the z/kfx/dvx and they handle, look, run, better than the ex. Ex might be more reliable but thats it. The z is the best and fastest 400 out there.

 

i beat a piped and jetted z and a kfx in a drag race at the dunes, so they r not that much faster, but it was close. i like my 400ex, but i wish i would have got a 450.

That's why I just sold mine and am saving for a 450r...
