The Shee is and will be the legend as the Yamaha RD line from the 70s. It isnt practical for Yamaha to bring them back, but we will all have "I remember this wicked Shee that..." type memories to recall, and stories to tell, much like the RD350s or Kawasaki's H1.

Banshees got their name by being a twin 2-stroke that screemed when wound out. A twin thumper will never be accepted as a "banshee".

Strongly doubt Yamaha redesigning the Banshee as they still make them just not in the U.S. If anything it would be another raptor...hate what they have done with that. Having 6 different quads all called raptors is pretty lame. (50, 80, 250, 350, 660 and 700) Should have kept the same names and made every one unique. As for banshee being king all I have to say is there's always somebody faster haha.

what about the old Suzuki Lt500R I do beleive it has been said it was the fastest quad ever made in stock form. I know there are not very many of them. Banshees are the ugliest things i ever saw and I must say the LT500R did not look any beter!!! But what is they truth about the two not just an opinion because every one has one. They are like butt holes every one has one but no one wants to hear them!!!

I read that the 2-stroke is done. Everything is now 4-stroke including banshee and from what i read they're still in the game. this is just what I read. I havn't heard from anyone who actuall bought or even rode them. So i guess it really doesnt matter whats on paper. They looked pretty bad *** though

they still make 2 stroke 350 banshee's they just dont sell them in the U.S. and in stock form a lt500 is faster than a banshee but when modded all the way nothing will take a shee. and this is coming from a raptor 700 owner.

The banshee is pretty much dead in the water now a days. I just recenty draged one that was bored out to 510cc, with my yfz450(only mod was a slip on pipe).
