Maker It Faster!!
#1
My wife and I own two quads. One is a 2004 Polars Predator 500 (TLE) and my wife has a Yamaha Worries. After riding my Predator for the first time, she instantly said "I want a faster bike.
Questions;
1) If I mod the Worries, will it even be comparable to the Predator? If so, what mods do you suggest?
2) Should we pay to add mods to the Worrier or sell it and purchase a bigger quid for her for $1500 dollars more?
3) Can anybody tell me what year this bike is?

I think I recall mentioning all this when you were considering the Warrior, but you got it anyway! I rode a Warrior for many many years, ok. Worst machine I ever owned!!! (I rode a freind's Raptor 350 the other day, and it wasn't one bit better than the old Warrior was.) They handle poorly and have a very heavy feel, plus the motor is very old tech. There is hop up potential in that motor, but who wants to go faster on something that handles so poorly to begin with?
Ditch it, and maybe thing about one of the classic trail quads like a Z400, 400EX, or Raptor 700???

I would sell the warrior and upgrade. Maybe a used z400. The suspension on the warriors is just not there and to upgrade and mod it out (which you could) then you would just be wasting money imo. You have to have the platform to put the money into and it just doesn't have it. Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of people who love them and they were a good bike....were a good bike....not any more in comparison to what is out there.

unless you want to be running $12 a gallon race fuel in the warrior, and having it bread down left and right, it will never toutch the predator. I know, I used to have a raptor 350. It was an all-around great quad, but I have a TLD Predator now, and the old 350 couldn't even come close to the power if it's life depended on it.

the warrior is great for $1000 you can make it as fast as a modded 400 and with banshee shocks and spacers it handles good enough for me to stay with 450s on the track but your wife might prefer the z or a 400ex more cause unless you put a 450 kit in the warrior it will never touch the predator you can get it close with a wiseco piston, webcam, pipe and carb but it will always be a few quad lenghts behind
