400ex's are a great little reliable machine, but don't expect to ever keep up with your buddy that has the KFX. Go Z400 if you're going the 400 route. To be honest you have to dig into any of the 400's to make them fast at all. Good Luck!

 

yeah im thinkin of getting one with a 416 or 426 kit on it already.those of you who suggested the kfx/suzuki 400: I dont want a quad and have 2 worry about my frame cracking on an early models or i dont want 2 have 2 take my clutch case off because the waters eatting away me case I WANNA RIDE IT NOT FIX IT.
BUT THX ALL FOR SUGGESTIONS
