some of those shee's still beat the busa ds'es. even seen a turbo nitrus busa ds get beat by a huge stroker shee.

 

when i first got my 95 Polaris Sport 400L in 95 it was one of the fastest 4-wheelers of 1995 built...........i think third overall i believe the banshee and warrior were faster than mine that year.............

 

I would be surprised if the Warrior was. I used to ride a warrior and they aren't very fast.

There used to be a video of a DS650 with turbo blowing away banshees like they were sitting still. He'd give em a good 100-200 ft head start and beat them by at least as much. But the link doesn't work anymore. http://videos.streetfire.net/v...ith-turbo-kit_7663.htm

 

I hardly ever see actual speeds posted anywhere, just this quad is faster than that one. I saw a video of a Scrambler with a snowmobile engine in it that was supposed to do around 110 mph, and another time I saw one that was supposed to do 130 mph, but people that post videos can say whatever they want.

I just checked Guinness World's records and they don't have a listing for the fastest ATV, just the longest journey travelled on one. Some guy went 13,519 km (8,400 miles) in 5 weeks. I bet he had a really bad case of quad-butt after that.

 

the fastest quad ever was the raptor 700 with a rocket straped to it. guy went 150+ before his rocket gave up.

why dont we put up some of those triple cyclender shees making over 200hp. or a crazy 15+mm shee. they will kill 3 wheelers. yes that tiger 500 was fast but not no crazy modded shee. and btw i dont own a shee i own a raptor 700 making a decent ammount of power but i know shee's blow pretty much anything away exp if they are not crazy convert like a tubro nitrus busa motor. and even then they can still win

8400 miles in 5 weeks... Makes my fanny hurt just thinking about that! Btw, that's an average speed of 10 mph. 15mph if he slept 8hrs a night.

That's just insane! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] I thought Leno's jet-powered motorcycle would be hard to handle, but once you light a rocket there's no way to shut it down. You're GONNA go for a ride!

Just put the same shee engine in the trike then. Trike has less weight and rolling resistence. With the same engines, trikes will always win. Just like bikes beat everything else,,, but nobody calls a bike an atv, lol.

All I've ever seen a shee do is throw dirt around n make a lot of noise.... but I've never owned one either so I can't speak much to that.

They used to have a saying back in the day, "There's no re-placement for dis-placement". I don't know if they've figured a way around that or not.
