hi-performance quads : can you name them?
#21
Any ATV can be "high-performance", it just means a high-output of power. I belive by high-performance you mean screaming performance( acceleration, top speed, etc.) stock. Don't forget a 4x4 rock climbing quad can too be called high-performance because the performance is high when mods are added. I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm just going on nd on and on. I hope you get my point <IMG SRC="http://forums.atvconnection.com/ubb/redface.gif">

Here are some quads that are more than just performance but i dont think u could clasify them in hi-performance (as far as stock goes) but it is the Polaris Sport 400, 300EX, and Warrior. These are some awesome quads. Evenif u think this is just me definding my quad your wrong but if you but the Sport 400 in there the Warrior has to be there two. Speed wise it is not much different and suspention wise it's about the same. Well you people just let what I said sink in and think about it befor you just type something about how polaris's or warrior's or 300EX's suck. OK C'ya

I agree, this is very funny to read some of the posts. But listen.
400cc (378) , "2"stroke - Automatic. Whats that spell, a rippin Sport 400...that will EAT a warrior, out trail ride most, and out mud EVERYONE. Not to mention some screamin top speeds.
Ps. Did you all read my post in the other forum... yeppers - also beat a 400ex 3 times in 200 yard race. Not too shabby for a bone stock automatic Polaris...hehe.

In my own humble opinion, Polaris has not made a hi-performance quad yet. A quad MUST have a manual clutch and tranny to even be considered near a hi-performance machine. And before every person that has ever owned a Polaris bombards me with every comeback they can think of, this is just my opinion and you can't change it. I like Polaris, I think they make good quads and have a good variety but I need a manual tranny. I do have a Polaris PWC though. I also believe that the YZ400, and KX250 powered quads shouldn't be considered since they are not in mass production. Also, Kawie Racing's 410 shouldn't be considered. I'm still undecided on whether the Rebel Star should be included. Sure it is definitely hi-performance but it's modified isn't it. My list:
Honda TRX400EX
Honda TRX250R
Yamaha Banshee
Suzuki LT250
Suzuki LT500
Kawasaki Tectate
Bombardier DS650
Gas Gas 300
Husaberg 400
Husaberg 501
Husaberg 600
Wish I could include my Warrior, but alas it is not hi-performance, although perfect for me.
