Alibaba,
The name RoadRunner is reserved for the awesome Plymouth muscle cars of the late 60's and early 70's (ok, up until 78 or 79, but we wont get into that!) It would be sac-religious for Honda to take the name Road Runner!

Pretty cool subject comin up here...

"what are some cool quad names you can com up with?"

One I'm thinking about is "Jaguar", like the car, or "Jag" for short.

Maybe "thumper".

I don't like "road runner" simply because it should be an off-road type thing...

I hate to say it but I give Yamaha the nod for thinking of cool names for the quads. think about it - Banshee (conjures up images of a screaming Indian) Warrior - also cool, Then the hole Bear family is awesome. Artic Cat snowmobiles have already used all of the cat names I think - Jag, Cheetah, Panther, Lynx, Cougar, etc.. Have birds of Prey been used yet? Hawks, Falcons and such? Maybe we need to return to yesteryear and dig up some dino names like the Velociraptor 500 or the T-Rex 600? My personal favorite as I have adopted for mine is the Scramblinator! Just having fun here. What about some of the kids cartoons...what's that one... Predicon... or some of those Mortal Kombat character names...

The problem is we have a bunch of Japs designing and naming our quads. The designs aren't bad, but the names stink. Originality might be a good idea, not stealing from awesome cars(roadrunner) or others. If you're really ticked off about it(like me) try thinking for a little while and then sending your suggestions for names to the companies. If I had to go with a 'best named' quad, I would have to say the QuadZilla.

QuadZilla, for sure, but that's not an official name. It's a nick, but actually "Quadracer" is my favorite name out there. The GNU may be one of the worst names ever. It's nothing against the animal, but the name has to sound good also. You couldn't name something "fast quad" or "winner" with a pretty good response, or maybe you could.

Maybe "WoW" would be a crazy name, but who knows? "Fantasy" would be cool...

Actually, something that would be cool is a green hi-performance quad named "LuCkY", but again, it sounds good but the name makes it sound like it's all luck. A major factor if you want to talk...

Freddie, how ironic can you be?

First you say sport quad names are lame because they were created by the Japaneses.

Then, you say your favorite sport quad name is (envelope, please), QUADZILLA!

Where did "Quadzilla" come from, Freddie? The JAPANESE monster we all know and love, GODZILLA!

You were just ribbin' us, right, Freddie?

Yeah, Yamaha definately has the best names out there..if someone says they have a banshee, you know what they have..if they say they have a warrior, you know what they have, and so on. If someone says they have a fourtax, who knows? A sportsman? what size? And their names are mean, like ATVs should be. "Grizzly", "blaster", " banshee", "warrior", "big bear", "wolverine", "breeze"...um, well maybe not that one..*L* but you get my point...Oh, and the name of that show that Gary Gnu was on was " the great space coaster"..*L* later.
96 "banshee", 89 "warrior"

Scott's Top Five Sport Quad Names:

5) Obliterator

4) Harrower

3) Vandal

2) Nazgul

1) Barchetta

Hey Freddie, not to be overly p.c., but I think we stopped calling them Jap's around 1946. Also, whoever said banshee was an indian thing never watched Darby O'gill and the Little People. It's a reference to an Irish fable.
