I might pick up a 06 trx 450 ER tomorrow. It looks really clean, has HRC kit, big gun pipe, new nurf bars, and new front tires. $3800

I could find quite a few 05 TRX's for $500-$1000 less, but not with the aftermarket parts... and from what I hear, there was a pretty decent power increase with the 06's.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good deal but I would make sure you check it out reallllly good. Check the underside and you can tell how much the person rode it and abused it. The A arms are the first thing to get scratched.

 

Most desert endurance race teams (like Baja) will choose to run an 04/05, rather than an 06 and later....so take that fact for what you will! The 04/05 has a longer stroke (more low end power) and is beefirer everywhere, and it has an oil cooler.

 

Go for it. It sounds pretty sweet.

 

That is a pretty decent deal. that HRC kit is a nice little bonus. think of it this way, if you dont liek the pipe on it or what not jusy sell it on ebay and get a new one. It's like a trade off.
