The 400 is light, good suspension (if you want more order aftermaket), predictable , and if you ever came in a tree sqeeze you'd be okay

 

The 400ex is more of a woods machine than the ds650. The DS Also rides uncomfortably high. Lots of power though. The 400ex would easily walk away from most any modded warrior, But there is still a couple of bikes faster than it. If you ride mostly with warriors, go with the 400ex. The DS Is a very large machine, and I am not talking just about motor size.

 

my husband has the ds and i would pay the 55% to have the raptor anyone that calls it a craptor is just jealous!!!!!!!!! I LOVE MY RAPTOR trust me i could of had a ds and chose the raptor

 

DEAR JIMMIE, LET ME FIRST APOLOGIZE FOR CALLING THE RAPTOR A CRAPTOR. BUT IF YOU SET THE RAPTOR BESIDE THE MIGHTY DS650 THERE IS NO DENYING THE DS IS MADE FAR SUPEROIR IN QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE. AS FAR AS WHICH IS FASTER THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT THE DS IS MUCH FASTER. IF YOU READ THE SHOOT OUT IN DIRT WHELLS YOU WILL NOTICE THE ONLY PLACE THE RAPTOR WON WAS THE IN THE FIRST 60FT BY .02 SECONDS. THE RAPTOR, AS DIRT WHELLS SAID HOOKED UP BETTER DUE TO THE TIRES THAT WERE NOT STOCK ON THE RAPTOR. THE ARTICLE SAID THAT THE DS WAS RAPIDLY GAINING IN SPEED AT THE END OF THE 125YD SHOOT OUT. IN REAL LIFE WITH MUD SHARKS THE DS IS RUNNING OF FROM THE RAPTOR IN SECOND AND NEVER LOOKS BACK. BUT I DO WISH THAT I HAD REVERSE, I KNOW THE EXTRA MOMEY FOR THE DS WAS WELL SPENT WHEN YOU COMPARE THE QUALITY OF THE TWO BIKES. SORRY YOU DIDN'T SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY TO GET THE DS BECAUSE YOU SURE WOULD ENJOY RUNNING OVER THOSE PESTY LITTLE RAPTORS THAT GET IN THE WAY. NOW AS FAR AS THE 400EX IS CONCEARNED, I LOVED MY 93 300EX, IT WAS BEFORE THE 400EX, BUT IT LACKS IN QUALITY AND DURABILITY EVEN IF IN THE WOODS, BUT IF I WERE BUYING A BIKE FOR THE WOODS ONLY IT WOULD BE MY FIRST CHOISE(SORRY OTHER DS OWNERS).
