ATV Freestyle?
#1
This is a question that has been bothering me for awhile. You never see a ATV with a rider doing tricks on Motorcross. Only dirtbikes. Personally i think that tricks on an atv would be a big step up for sport quad popularity. I do no handers, no footers, and have tried a nac-nac but got hurt. Tricks are a big part of 2-WHEELERS and i dont see why it's not part of 4-WHEELER'S? I mean at the finish line on a dirt bike yo do a trick. At the finish line with a ATV you like turn your head to the crowd. Wouldn't it be cool to see a nothing at the finish line jump? Let's just do some thinking on that on and get back to me on it.

Your right ...tricks on quads are pretty scarce....You see some tricks on the national level....Quads are always heavier than bikes...Most riders that really race..are not going to chance wrecking the machine when they might have to race in the next heat. At least that makes the most sense to me.
Myself...I have done no handers, no footers, I keep trying for a stoppie. I think it is wild.. There are some pictures of some jumps I did in the picture archives on this web site... I will get a heal clicker one of these days...... I keep coming up just a bit short... you need to get some good hang time for alot of tricks.

As you were saiing about the chance of crashing and having to race agin, i see your point. Dirt Bikes take that same chance. But it's not that riskey to do a simple no hander. I know if or when i race, i'm going to go over the last jump, take my hands off, turn to thr crowd and throw my arms out to the side. Also tomorrow i'm trying a nothing. I'll report back to you on how it goes.

A guy I ride with that has a 400EX has gotten pretty good at riding on two wheels, either the left or right side. His goal is to eventually start on one side, switch to the other, and then go to a wheelie ending by riding on two wheels again. I'd try it, but I don't have the balance it takes.

If you ever get a chance to go to a GNC level event, you will see all of the tricks mentioned on the first post unless it is a real close race. These type of tricks are being done, you just have to be at the right place at the right time to see them.

Riding on 2 wheels isn't that hard once you get used to it. Whats really cool is when you can do a wheelie while on 2 wheels and get it up one one. I've only done it once and just for a few feet, but I've seen some really good pics of people doing it.
