I think all the 450s are good, either one wont be a bad choice

None of the 450's are great trail rides! They like to be ridden reved out, so slow tight trail riding will requier a lot of clutch slipping, which gets old really fast.

A 400EX or Z400 is a better choice for a trail quad!

A 450 isnt the best choice for trail riding but not bad either. The only thing I have to say is unless the trails your riding are pretty wide trails don't buy a Suzuki LT450R. The extremly wide stance and 18" rear tires make it a bad trail quad becuse it has low ground clearance and you'll be bouncing off tree's left and right that is if you fit. Personally I like the YFZ450 and the Honda 450R a lot.

yeah ive heard only good things about the yfz450 and 450r but the kfx450 is nice because it has a reverse gear. You may only use a reverse gear 5 times u have the thing but its a good thing if u ride muddy or very technical/slow trails. Sometimes u just have to stop backup and choose a different line, if u get stuck off in a remote muddy with no buddys there w/ a 4x4 and a tow strap u will be lifting ur quad out, then again they dont weigh much so the decision is up to u.
