Listen all sport quads 450s,525s,700s go between 73 and 77 MPH. I'm gonna set you straight, go to your dealer, Look at those kick *** monster edition KFX450R's and buy it. Get it home gawk at it, and ride. Al you need to do. Top speed does not matter. It does not. Get that out of your head. Please. What kind of trail would require you to go top speed? Just get the KFX and enjoy yourself. You say it fits you best, sitting on it you feel the most comfortable and you will never grow old of it's power.

Just because top speed doesn't matter to you doesn't mean it doesn't matter to others. I know plenty of people that trail ride along with duning. They want the fastest machine available for the dunes. We have plenty of trails here that allow me to hit 5th gear for a short amount of time.

I kinda agree with scrambler. Top speed doesn't really matter. Think what he is saying is they are all within 5 mph from each other so what's the difference? I'd rather buy one based off the feel, looks, what I get for my money, basically everything before does it go 74 or 72. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you 100%, they are all damn close to each other. I chose Honda because of their ergonomics.

Thats what I meant. They are all so close If you took 5 450's and did top speed runs than went with the same models but different quads you could get a totally different result.

True, In stock form my 450R was about 2 mph faster than my buddy's identical machine.(minus color) I think that had to do with break in method.

You must have had more red. Well known fact that red is faster than black.

guys i wasnt talkin about "top speed" i was talkin about acceleration - i know top speed doesnt really mean anything cause u never really get a chance to get to it--i was just wondering if a polaris 525 was faster(quicker) than a KFX450r -- i heard it was quicker so i was just wondering what you guys thought
