Default Miles per tank

I've been looking at picking up a Warrior, Blaster or Predator but I'm concerned about the distance I'm going to be able to travel on a tank of fuel...We do a lot of long trail rides in Jackman, Newport, Houlton and Presque Isle Maine..I want to be able to go the distance with the utility quads in my group though...

Will any of these 3 quads be able to go for 80-100 miles per tank if I'm taking it easy and not driving it like I stole it? I noticed that the tank size on most of the sports quads are only around 3.25 to 3.5 gallons...compared to my Sportsman 450 which is 4+

Uhhh I've had alot of sport quads and they get crappy mileage the only one that might be ok is the warrior because the motor really isnt that high performance.. but you'll be lucky to get even 50 miles out of it I'm thinking.. hell my RINCON tank is like 4.6 gallons and gets like 110 miles ish going rather easy on it so I don't see going far on a sport quad

Ohh I know what you mean... I think i may have to cough up the coin and get a 450r or Banshee or something... I can drive my RINNY like a raped ape but it just seems so hard on it... I dunno.. where we ride there is a couple nice sand pits and a couple nice gravel pits.. I really wanna do a 5 gear wheelie and jump 10 feet in the air! O and shoot a giant wall of roost!!!!!!!!!! I miss that stuff all I had when i was in my teens was quadzillas banshees and 250Rs my dads lawn didnt even exist! What you need to do is have a friend that has that stuff so you can play on it for a little to get it out of your system.. that what I do everytime I almost buy a seadoo...

Haha not a bad idea...problem is that none of my friends have the funds to buy anything half way decent...my brother in law and my buddy both have a warrior and the other has a 400ex...the warrior is a mean little machine but I don't get a chance to ride it much and the 400ex also seems quite nice, but again I don't to touch it much...mostly because he beats the hell out of it and doesnt maintain it as well as he should so its broken down constantly..

One of the guys I work with just bought an 09 Sportsman 800 holdover and I took that thing for a ride...that thing seems to have just the right combination of high end and low end power...but even that doesn't really have what I want...I used to have a 1980 RM125 dirt bike and it was so much fun...I miss having the clutch so much...just can't afford to buy something that doesn't get the miliage because everyone will leave me in the dust on the long trails and I refuse to ask them to carry gas cans just for me haha...

Hmmm what will we ever do..My friend just got a yfz 450r so i can go beat on it.. Just go get a DS650 you can get them pretty cheap really and you won't ride it alot so it'll stay in good shape..I had one a few years back when they first came out that thing was BULLETPROOF!!!! I think you can get after market tanks for like 200 bucks 5 gallon ones.. check um 04 Bombardier DS650 sport quad and this one is a steal 2007 Honda 450R sport quad ATV with extras fast-trades

Count on 20 mpg. You should safely go 65-70 miles on a 3.25 to 3.5 gal tank. I have done 100 miles on my 500 H.O with a 5.25 tank and H.Os are not the best gas milage ATVs out there, my friends 500 Foreman goes 100 miles with a smaller 4 gal tank.

Those are both nice looking wheelers...did you see the guy in West Baldwin that was selling an 03 Predator 500 for $1500? I thought about picking that up...but I heard that the 03's had problems...

I would have to agree with TLC. I have a 3.2 gallon tank on my DS650 and i got 77 miles out of it once. On average 17 to 20 miles per gallon.
