Over time, the valves will wear into the seats and "tighten up" This will manifest as poor starting/running. On the YFZ, probably the Raptor, and pretty much every other high performance 4 stroke, you have to measure the valve clearance, remove the camshaft, then there is a small "bucket" that needs removing and you will need to install a (usually) thinner shim. Put it all back together and remeasure to be sure. After you have done it a few times it will only take 20 minutes or so tops on the YFZ, and that has 5 valves to mess with. One of those things that sounds complicated, but have someone help you the first time or so, and get a good shop manual for torque specs and to fall back on. The manual will pay for itself the first time you aren't paying your local dealer for an hours labor to do this job.

The Raptor 700 Grizz 700/550 ( essentially same motor) dont use shims, only a typical valve adjustment with a feeler gauge is needed. There are plenty of 700s out there with well over 5000 miles on them without any major issues if any at all!
