If i can find a 450 quad and a 400 quad (both sport) about the same year condition and price which would be the best choice?

To do what?
If your going to race, then get the 450. If your doing almost anything else, get the 400.

The 400's whether a Honda or Suzuki are bulletproof.
I'd buy a used one. Just look it over good.

If there the same price go with a 450 you will like the power gain and trust me if you by a 400 and then ride a 450 you will wish you would have bought the 450

450's are the better quad, but for trail riding get the 400. on a slow trail, the 450's just want to stall out, wile the 400's are right at home.
