Default kfx450 or ltz400?

I'm stuck between getting a kfx450 or ltz400, I ride through fields, down roads, I drift around and climb black muck piles and I love to drift around in the winter, help me out please!

Just realized my last reply on your previous thread didn't post. The one regarding popping up the front end.

The 450 will have more than enough power to pull a wheelie but, the 400ex's are wheelie kings. I've never had anything that could pull a wheelie like those things. The front comes up a little too easy if you ask me.

I know your stuck. Its a big purchase decision. The fact is you'll be happy with either. Both are pretty dang reliable. Both make good power and respond to mods well. The 450 will have a little more power and as 450's are they want to rev to make power. That makes drifting and sliding around TONS of fun. The most fun I've had riding was during a huge ice storm here in OK a couple winters ago.

well I think I'm going to go with a trx450er instead, I found an 08 with low hours for 4700, plus I really like hondas reliability

Great quad. You most certainly won't be dissapointed. No reverse...but, i'd still pick it over the KFX. It just has a better feel IMO. Oh, and it will pull up the front end at the drop of a hat. One of the best sounding quads I've heard was an '07 with DASA exhaust.

I don't know about the brand new ones but it's almost the same thing for the older models right? I have an '03 KFX 400 and it is the same as the '03 ltz 400. With that said, you're only really talking about a difference of the 50cc.
If you're looking at two machines for the same money then why not get the 450 but if you're just tring to decide between the two then I guess it's a matter of preferance of brand.

There is a huge difference between the machines. Its far more than a simple 50cc's. It's kinda of apples to oranges. The engines are built different.
