Im getting old, cant handle the sport suspension. Now I ride like you Moose. Just last week I was yelling "slow down" to some hooligan turtles on the trail.

I think it was 05 they started putting reverse in. At first it does suck but you will get use to it. You can whip them right around on a 5' wide trail, no problem.

This, it has proven itself to me long ago. Simplicity is what gets the job done, if you like riding without having to do a bunch of maintenance, go with a 400EX. I picked up the July 2013 issue of Dirtwheels magazine and they did a article on the 400 titled "Honda's Crocodile Sport Quad" and went on to explain the reason why the 400EX is now the longest running production full size sport quad and basically how bulletproof reliable and user friendly it is. Just my 2 cents, good luck with whatever you go with!
