Not so familiar with the ltz or kfx 400s. Met a few with the Honda 400ex that really like them.

Got the ltz/kfx 400 when I got my sport quad. Loved it. The 400ex is a rock solid quad too. You planning on buying new or used?

Don't settle on the 250 unless it's an old honda.

Should be able to get a nice 400ex for that price. If I were to be buying used, that's the one I'd be looking at.

The 400ltz is more updated with a 400 liquid cooled DOHC.
The motor has been used in Suzuki,s DRZ on/off road motorbike for years.
But the 400ex is also solid and more in abundance if shopping used since so many more were built over the years.

The 400ex is a rock solid quad and well rounded machine! The parts are cheep and abundant. Its a simple quad so its easy to work on. In the hands of a good rider it will go anywhere.
