I am 14, and I really want to start quad racing like my dad did when he was 16. I would like to start at 16 too, but I just want to know how I can do this. I live in Northwest Ohio, and I have been riding quads for a few years. I dont know what program to join in order to race, or where the closest one in NW Ohio is. What are the specifics like the types of quads, need gear, and needed mods on the quad. What is the age in which you can start? I really dont know anything about what I need to do. I can learn things about racing from my dad no problem. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks!

I've never raced quads, my racing days are over. But when I started riding it was dirtbikes and I spent lots of time practicing riding trails in the mountains, by the time I first rode a track I was hitting those jumps with no fear. Riding trails is something that takes tremendous skill and there are all sorts of obstacles, the likes of which are typically harder than a track. I'd start there first if I was you and practice practice practice! You will find all sorts of fun obstacles and places to play around in on the trails. Start on the easy stuff and gradually work your way into the tougher stuff.

Go search on google where you ride and race, look for tracks to try to find sponsors. Good luck!
