Default Raptor 660 vs quadzilla 500

This my first post on this forum and i was wondering which of these atvs I should trade for. I currently own a 2004 polaris predator 500 and now have it up for trade. I like the polaris but not even as much as my 2004 kfx 400 that I had. I got offers of a 2001 raptor 660 with brand new topend rebuild, 2003 transmission, and HMF pipe. I also got offered a 1989 suzuki lt500r (quadzilla) with a cooling head and aftermarket exausht. I do a mix of all riding. Alot of flat land, some trails, and some motocross. Which atv should I trade for.

The Raptor seems a bit overpriced. That same quad would be $2000 here, not $3000. The quadzilla is just cooler and I'm sure harder to find.

I agree with you that the Raptor would be worth two grand. But I'm trading my predator for it so I won't pay the 3,000. I not sure which is better though

Agreed...the quadzilla is getting to TRX250R status only because there are so few left...condition wise they both look well used...so, if only for the "I have one and you can't get one" factor (and I prefer 2-stroke smoke to 4-stroke bloat), I'd go with the mighty 500...but purely my $0.02 (and my steadfast love for 2-strokes)...

I agree with you on that but power wise and handling which is better. The raptor has a brand new top-end rebuild an HMF Exhaust with jet kit for the carburetor and the Quadzilla have pipe, larger carburetor and cooling head

660=42hp
RM 500 2strock = 54hp.

Quadzilla is a beast. If I had spare cash and didn't mind keeping it maintained (harder to find parts) I'd go for the Quadzilla. Plus for the Raptor is availability of parts.

Banshee is another screamer for a 2 stroke if that's what you might be looking at. Parts would most likely be much easier to come by as they were still building them until 2006, even later in some places. 2006 was the year the U.S. government pretty much outlawed most 2 stroke atvs and dirt bikes continuing to be built because they didn't like how much oil they consumed or emissions or something like that.
