Which one should I buy. I want the power but dont want a 400EX because of no reverse. Is the warrior comparable to a 400EX and does it handle as good. Please help I am ging to buy this weekend.

red01recon- The Warrior is not as good as the 400ex, but the Warrior is a good machine. So is the 300ex. All machines are good if they do what you want them to do. Neither the Warrior nor the 300ex will be able to compare to the 400ex power wise (in stock form). Maybe you should look at the Raptor as one of your options. It has power and reverse. I would really put some thought about it yourself before going and buying a machine your not sure about. Good Luck.

if your buying new check the z400 by suzuki, it is 400 cc manual sport, with reverse, and its not made to compete witht he 400ex, its made to compete with the raptor and DS

I'm not on your case about this but, if somebody is looking for a warrior or comparable machine why would you suggest a raptor? This machine is a competition machine and would likely get someone hurt. There are many people in this area who bought a raptor thinking it is a sport quad it isn't even the magazines call it a sport quad. Then they trade it in for something more tame. Worse yet they get hurt on it and become a ststistic. If this guy is used to the performance of a sport or utility quad this is too much of a jump. Sorry just had to put my 2 cents worth in on this suggestion.

when i was at the dealer looking into getting the raptor orthe warrior or the 300ex....he told me that he would rather sell me a loaded handgun then sell me a raptor....i've ridden the raptor and didn't really likeit compared to my banshee....when i rode the raptor the power cameon strong throughout the powerband which actually frightened me....it feltso high off the ground....maybe i'm not big enough or weigh enough....but anyways because the raptor is such a competion bike he didn't really feel comfortable selling them to riders that would walk in not have the expierence with somethingwith so much power....I was swayed by the warrior though if i had to buy one but i think i'm going to keep the banshee for a while longer

the 300ex is far to light in the front and not nearly as good at hill climbing as the warrior, but it has a tighter turning radius, id rather climd hills..

300ex, no question,,,quadmanjimd,, umm,,, how bout,,,, no. the 300ex climbs hills just fine, mine was awesome on the hills. as is a warrior, the warrior is great on hills, but the 300ex is at least just as good. i say get the 300ex, very dependable machine, and if u ever wanna upgrade it, a-arms and swingarm from a 400ex bolt right up to the 300ex,, CHEAP suspension upgrade, and you can get power out of them easily, even in stock form, if you know what adjustments to make.
