that Auto-clutch and reverse are NICE for long days in the woods..... and it hit's small jumps sweetly, and can pull the front wheels off the ground in 2nd and 3rd, easily too
6 inches of ground clearance and a good snorkel for the mud and water..... handlebar choke for the cold weather..........
we have one, the only mods I did was reverse the front wheels and put 400Ex tires on the rear... what a difference instabliliy it made

Yamahaman676,
I'd buy one for the kids if I had the money. I've heard that they are sweet little machines. There aren't too many hop-ups yet, but give it a little time.

You know, this is the first time I think I've ever heard that a light front end could be a liability on up hills. I've always known it was, but if you listen to what the Hi-Torque idiots say, a light front end is the best thing going. I guess that if they actually RODE the quads instead of just writing about them, they might know this.

With the stock tires, the bike understeers (pushes) a little. Plus, it is a little tippy. I cured both of these nicely with a switch to ITP Holeshot XCs, and ITP (wider) rims. Otherwise it's a fine entry level bike, or a good terminal bike for someone who just doesn't want to ever learn a manual clutch. And, SKT IS DREAMING if he thinks the 250 is a better trail bike than the 300 or 400!!!

Geez you guys have downs, I brought my tricycle to the trails and smoked a 330r, 720 Bombardier, and a 680 raptor, and a Cannondale. But i had problem's with beating that 250ex man that thing is fast. Man I had to be doing 75-80mph till I pulled away. Peddle power all the way. Does anyone know how to pull a double seat grab superman with my trike, I was hoping one of the 250ex owner would know because those things fly.
