It is a nice entry level sport quad. Obviously, it won't run with the bigger, more expensive quads, but I makes a nice little play quad.

It's the best trail quad made... shaft drive, reverse, auto-clutch... you'll here guys w/ Raptors, 300 EX's, and 400 EX's saying the 250EX is a beginner quad, etc.. In the tight trails... 2nd - 3rd gear... the 250EX will smoke'em...

Maybe in tight 1st gear trails that are no more than 42" wide will the 250EX have an advantage, but otherwise, not a chance. Shaft drive and auto-clutch spell out entry level/beginner quad. I am not trying to knock the 250EX, just don't tell me it competes with and/or is better than the bigger sport quads. The 250EX was not even designed and is not marketed to compete with 300EXs, 400EXs, Raptors, etc... If you are looking for an easy to ride quad with mild performance to learn on, it does make an nice quad.

If you are just getting in to the sport or just want somthing to throw around it is good.Speed is ok.Woods is where it shines, It can wheely over everything.Jumping and hill climbing takes extra care because it has a light frontend.I've only had it for a year and know i'll looking for a new quad. It's between the raptor and the 400ex.

no one has said why it is not so great! well
1.tippy-get some new tires for the back and your set!
2.light front end-falling backwards is easy up huge hills if you hit a rock going up hill jump OFF!!!!!

I don't think im missing anything else so all in all it is a crazy jumper and catwalks and wheelies have never been easier! BUY IT! You will be 100% satisfied~!

I dont want to acr like your guys dads but, stay with the forum subject!
Also the 250EX is great in trails. Alot of people say "dont buy a 250EX it is for girls!" well the first time on got on it the power amazed me! i can go up a pretty steep hill in 3rd gear! TRUST ME YOU WILL BE HAPPY LIKE I WAS FOR NOT GETTING A LAKOTA, after atv connection had trouble starting it.
