Duster, look in the feb. Issue of dirtwheeles. They had a shootout between a stock 300ex, and a mojave. The 300ex won in EVERYTHING.

NO ONE SAID IT BETTER THAN 350Trixter. From now on what he said should be posted on EVERY SINGLE speed topic. ITS NOT JUST BIKE!! the rider has a more significant importance than the rider.

Also, if your not on a straight length of a drag race, you can definitely beat a stock warrior rider with a stock 300ex. If you are on a drag race a pipe, K&N airfilter, and a jet kit would FORCE your enemy (or friend whoever your racing) to buy goggles to cover his eyes from dust.

300ex is the better buy. Its very reliable and easy to maintain. Long choice of mods to put on if you want to. Much better handling, probably the best handling on a sports quad. When i bought mine i also got mine much cheaper for the 300ex than the Warrior-i dunno if you will. So I say go for the 300ex.

yup yup, I keep up with my buddys just fine and they all ride warriors. all of our bikes are basiclly stock except for tires and stuff. my ex is even faster than some banshees I know, I could pass em like theyre standing still...thats because they are standing still. my friends at work like to talk about how fast theyre banshees are, and theyre sitting in theyre garage while Im out ridin. so what Im tryin to say is mojave, 300ex, warrior, who cares just ride the dang things.

I know this. I love my quad. I don't care what people say. I think its the best quad for me and thats all that matters so lets stop squabbling and just enjoy riding our respective quads.

For all of you who said that your 300ex is faster than a Mojave must of been having a wet dream and then woke up to reality. Stupid dummy's and as far as reliability, My mojave has had only got dirt in the carb once and my friends 300ex has had a bunch of problems from leaking gas tanks, bad axle bearings, and shock problems.

The lowend of the 300ex kills the mojave, and top speeds are the same. I bet I can take your mojaves, I'm confident in my riding ability and my quad. I'll jump in front and won't let you take me over...

The low-end of of a 300ex sucks compared to a mojave the mojave has 4 valves and dual overhead cams and the 300ex has 4 valves and one cam plus the mojave has 11:1 compression compared to 9:1 of the 300ex so it shows that you also must be dreaming, the 300ex has no low-end and anyone who wants to race me on my Mojave can e-mail at Mxracer98@hotmail.com and set a date up if you are that confident in your ability's.

For the ones saying the Mojave is more reliable than the 300ex, you make me laugh. I have a friend with an 87 Mojave that has been maintained perfectly, but for some reason still falls apart. He is constantly adjusting his valves. Half the time the quad doesn't run. His shifter always falls off and all other Mojaves he has seen have the same problem. While I see new Mojaves on the side of the trails needing repairs, I still see old, beat up 250x's(which you all know are pretty much the same as the 300) driving right by them with no problems. Now, who's reliable?

I own a 00 300ex (mods listed below), and was racing my 1st race and wrecked, and I still came back and blew out a blaster, with some mods.

For the fastest and the best bang for the buck get a Blaster. I have a '99 Blaster bought new for $3250.00 with a Gradon Proline pipe and silencer, Boyesen Pro-Series reeds, removed airbox lid, rejetted, and regeared (14tooth front) sprocket cost me around $380.00 = $3630.00 total still cheaper than a thumper. The only problem I have had was my oil injection just went out, but I planned to remove it anyway (no engine damage caused). I have out run and out climbed Warriors, Mojaves, and 300EXs. they were all mostly stock I beleave. I haven't lost to a thumper yet, but I haven't raced any 400EXs, DS650s, or of course Rapters.
