Actually it wasn't his it was a guy we met up with for some great riding at October Mountain in Western MASS. And the guy was not pissed at all matter of fact he let it sit like that while I grabbed my camera.

It was a pretty funny site though....lol

hey newZman no need to quote the entire reply over and over, it gets redundant. There was one fatty on a zuki 400 the rest where normal sized people. Didn't think that would matter anyway since jetted,piped 400ex where even beating some of them on the drag. No way in hell could the new z hang with ANY shee, ds raptor or c-dale out in the dunes last time i was out there.

I like to embellish your wisdom by using the your whole quote. I don't ride in dunes and I don't give a crap which bike is faster. I'm not in it for the speed especially on sand. Dirt, trails, trees, jumps, twists, rocks etc is where I get it off at anyhow. The Z is hardly a kiddie ride either, don't be concerned you didn't hurt my feelings. You might need to buy a bigger truck though to haul that tank around - bah ha ha ha ha.

 

Read the initial topic question.I'm not too concered with your style riding,cause your not the one asking for advise.My pickup hauls my tank with no problems, you on the other will always getting a great view of my bumper and and my grab bar.

Sounds to me like you are descibing a Raptor! Fast, got it... Great for trails and dunes, Got it... Hold it's own in a drag race, yup just described a Raptor. That is the reason I bought mine! I had a cannibal, great for track ok in the trails (gone), Had a Quadzilla great for dragracing and Dunes OK in trails (Gone). Rode my brothers DS 650 great for Dunes and dragracing, ok in the trails, very comfortable the most of any sport ride but also very big tough to handle in the tight stuff.


About the LTZ they say it's great in the trails, The jury is still out in the dunes and holding it's own in a drag race seems doubtful from what I have read maybe against 400Ex's.

I am also a little curious about the new Poopolaris it sounds like it might have all the same good qualities.

wow raptordude you traded in a c-dale for a raptor? 1 question, why??? i took a whoopin from a c-dale in a drag race &quot;worked over&quot; and i was impressed with the bike overall and customer service.Why go to the raptor when yama burned all the 01 owners?

 

I got an early 2002 Canibal and the thing just plain stalled alot, I mean alot that and the throttle was like a lightswitch. My kids have quads and I go out riding with them and in the slow tight stuff that on/off throttle and the stalling just pissed me off, It was very fast I smoked my brother on his DS in a drag race. I ended up trading it in at the dealer even up for a new Raptor. It was not as fast but you can just chug along when you want and it also has ***** when you want. I had just got rid of my Quadzilla and I was looking for something a little calmer and the Canondale was probaly harder to chug along in the trails then the Zilla. I guess they have fixed the stalling and lightswitch throttle on the newer builds so I'm not downing the Canondale it was just a handful and I was looking for something a little easier to ride.
