If you got enough hps, just slide back in the seat and gas her up. Most sport quads don't require working the clutch much.

yeah, if your not careful, even moderate use of the gas on my 660 will put me flat on my back. the dealer said that about a third of the riders he sold them to had to come back for new back plastic!!

It depends on what kind of quad you are riding.

Any sport quad on the market should be able to get it up in at least 1st gear without popping the clutch.

Get to the base of the powerband, pull back on the bars, and she'll come up. Be sure to cover the rear brake the first few times you do it.

If that doesn't work you can always try doing it standing on the seat LIKE THIS (CLICK).

Any of the "newer" sport quads including: 400ex, Raptor, Z400, Cannibal, etc... have no problem bringing the front end up. I don't even have to pull on the bars on my 400ex. 2nd and 3rd gear, I just give it a little throttle, and the front starts coming up. I know from experience that the Raptor and Cannibal are the same, haven't ridden the zuki yet.

you have to be careful when you do them, though. i just rode a lightly modded 400ex on labor day, and i just gave it a little throttle, and i rode a nice long wheelie w/o even trying.

The best way in an open area really i would say is to pretend ur in a drag and give it throttle, u can pop it up the gears

i went to a field and practiced i can get the front end up but until i make my rear grab bar im afraid of tipping over backwards and railing my supertrapp silencer on the ground. i think using the clutch works best on flat ground if there is a little bump i like to gas it and ride a low wheelie really fast. there is nothing more gratifying than when i blow out of the woods into the field near my house and come over the crest in fifth and ride a wheelie all the way down other side of the litttle hill.

Dude, where in Vermont are you from???

Also, I don't think you ever said what kind of quad you had...that will help with wheelie tips.
