I had some family in from NC this week and my nephew has a 300ex, my sons Blaster beats it every time in a drag race. Slight up hill corn fieldjust a littls less than a 1/4 mile long. Switch riders and the same thing, not really even close. The race between my son and my brother in-law was closer with him on his 400EX at 240lbs and my son on the Blaster at 110 lbs. 400ex but not by much, yes I know the weight has a lot to do with it but still. Both machines still stock.

 

mudcat so your saying that the blaster didn't get beat by much well me and my toomey special might have a chance against a stock 400ex cause i'm only 110 2 just have to race some one whos 200lb

 

Ill tell you something weird that i learned today,stock 250r's really arent that fast...i was riding with a basically stock one today and i understand its old and stuff but i was keeping up with good all around our oval we set up.....next mod,my dads gonna port my bike(but im still unsure if i should be scared or not)

 

how bigs the oval is the stright away long or short id like to race one on my z but theres none around well atleast i dont ever see any the only thing close that i raced was an old tri z and i beat that pretty good so i dunno

 

well the 400ex only does 65 stock maybe give or take a couple and a blasters anywere between 55-60 and 2 stroke pipe makes a differnce so if i was u id regear it up 1 tooth in the front and i bet u might just take him

 

i'll be ice racing this year so i'll get to race against them so we'll see

 

i have an 03 blaster with toomeys pipes and i raced my friend who has a 99 300ex and he didnt have a chance not sayin that it was a blow out or anything but i dont think a 300ex should beat a blaster
