ive also rid a zilla and it will smoke a banshee. but i noticed that there was one quad you forgot about there the gas gas 300. banshee doesnt even come close.

 

Umm, yes a banshee does come close to a quadzilla, a quadzillas top speed is 81mph, and a banshees top speed is 77.

 

I have to agree with that. So, let me expand on that a little.
Since 1987, like it or hate it, Quadzilla is still the top dog. Banshee is second. When the Quadzilla was axed, Banshee became the fastest.... Some respectfully argue- ds, cannondale, gas gas, raptor, yfz, blah blah blah. Whatever. This is historical fact : Quadzilla first, Banshee second. Period. Yamaha changed very little since it's intoduction; so it cant be said that, "Oh yamaha hasnt improved it in 15yrs." and at the same time say "it's slower than" newer stuff... If they haven't changed it in 15 years, and it was right under a Quadzilla back in 1987-1990, how can it all of a sudden be slower than today's newer stuff - that can't even come close to a Quadzilla?

 

what ia m trying to say is that a 300 gas gas is a hell of a lot faster than a standard banshee ive lined them up but im not sure what the gg and zilla would bi like up against each other

 

Imo it seems there are a few that don't understand the diff. in

quick = acceleration
fast = top speed

I belive the thread started out asking which stock bike (stock gearing) which was the fastest.

Well hopefully when I get my Zilla back together we will be able to find out. I know a guy who has a Wild 300 and I been wanting to run him. Those Gas Gas quads are fast and as far as powerwise they are the closest to having the same power as the Zilla.

Just about got all the bugs out of mine. Going to finish breaking the engine back in for tomorrows BUCCS race. We'll have to get together and settle this issue when both of us have a day to do it.

Please................ Go BS someone else. Government regulations keep the companies from making quads that fast in stock form. Maybe going down a steep a$$ hill being pushed by a Banshee or Zilla. LOL[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I know a guy who has one with GPS on it and he said that it would out-accelerate a lot of quads (even his friend's Raptor) but once it topped out (at 46mph) they would pass him. I also hate to say it, but there are faster quads out there than a 250R...
