whats the latest news or reviews on the gas gas 300 2strokes

I got my Gas Gas in last week but it is still at the dealer havent had time to go give her a test drive, I can't wait The number on it are outstanding I was told there were only about 10-12 in the states by the dealer and there are no 4 strokes out yet maybe by Jan. To the guy who went and bought different a-arms why? It is 51" wide ama limits although they never check except at nationals is 50" Just buy a set of offset wheels much cheaper way to go. But good to know about the airbox hitting the swingarm, the chassis is an exact replica of a roll design 250R frame so this quad is not expensive at all, try getting 50 hp, everything widened out, nerfs, aluminum bars, nerfs, aftermarket bumper and ohlins fully adjustable shocks all the way around and all the extras on any quad and you will have spent well over 10 grand and they are trying to compete with the dales which sell fro 12,500 or so.

I bought a-arms because I'm a woods racer and you need the quad to be under 48" wide to fit thru the tight sections in the woods. Mine is set-up as 47" up front and 47 1/2" in the rear. I race it this past weekend and there were spots I wished it was narrower. I didn't do to well at the race do to the fact the twist throttle gave me problems, since I have little experience with twist throttles, mine going to switch it over the a thumb. Also the suspension was dail in right.

I'm more worried about the logistical part of things. 10-12 in the states? It doesn't sound like much of "dealer network" to me. What about parts? I'm not saying it's a bad quad (hey even Hondas break) or even questioning it's reliability, but what happens if you need parts for it? Will they have to send back to Spain to get them? I would really like to see this quad be put into full time production with thousands of units coming into the US.
Frankly, I like seeing the smaller manufacturers (Gas Gas, Cannondale etc..) coming out with high performance machines. It just raises the bar for the bigger manufacturers.

I was told by my dealer that a shipment of parts has been sent to their supplier and they plan on stocking a decent bit of parts for the quad and should be able to get anything with in a week once the parts have been put into stock. As for only 10-12 in the U.S. GasGas was unaware of the huge demand for this quad and didn't make and ship that many in the first round, but they plan on making more and shipping larger quainties of the quad since dealers are begging for more of them. I've been told you can costom order a 400cc 4-stroke instead of the 450 if you want it also if you want a 250cc 2-stroke you can get it instead of the 300. GasGas also sent a fax to the dealers saying that a 47-48 inche wide set-up will be available in the next month for the quads.

I got my new gas gas 300 in and went and rode it.. WoW this thing is awesome the power is snappy and spread out like a 4 stroke kinda, handles great but one thing messed me up too the damn twist throttle, got the thumb throttle ordered for it, i jumped some smaller jump at the dealers place and cracked the trottle wide open for the second not on purpose and had to hold on for the ride luckily it stayed on all fours on the landing. Seems like the suspension is going to work out sweet. HeyLt250R91 How you liking yours so far any troubles other than the airbox hitting the swingarm, or have you really had a chance to really test her out yet, can't wait till my thumb throttle gets in though, that can really mess things up

I think the Hp is 52 or 53 and the speed is in the 80's not for sure on that I only got into 3rd or 4th gear out messing around the dealership but its pretty damn snappy

Congrads on the new quad. They are awesome aren't they. I don't like the twist at all and because of that I haven't really opened it up enough to bottom the rear shock out. I'm also a woods racer so big jumps are not my style any ways.
So what kind of thumb throttle did you get and what was the cost for the whole conversion kit?
I just got my DirtWheels Mag for Feb. issue, they have an article on the quad in there. I called and talked to the dealer that loaned them the quad and he is working on a ton of aftermarket stuff for the quad. Pipe, suspsension mods, steering mod (reduces the resistance on the steering) and some other things. The dealer name is Motowest in Anaheim, CA.
A couple things to get for the quad if you haven't already got them are the exhaust valve cover and jet kit by LT Racing. The website is LT Racing

Im nopt sure which one I'm getting guess i didnt realize there were options just told my dealer to get one on there hes helping me out quite a bit so I doubt I have to pay for it so I dont know how much it cost, As for aftermarket I doubt I do anything for now the power is pretty good for now If I feel Im using it all I will upgrade where possible like the jet kit but the pipe on mine is pretty good its pretty big and its even chrome I've heard that some have different pipes that come on them like one had FMF and mine actaully says GAS Gas on it

Hey just looking at your pics and noticed a couple of things, Did your beadlocks come on your Quad or did you get those extra, cause I dont believe mine has those, and the other thing is that yours shows holeshots and mine has razors all the way around
