WHY NOT RACE IT AGAINST A BANSHEE! WE ALL KNOW THAT A BANSHEE AND A RAPTOR RACING ISNT EVEN A RACE.. THE BANSHEE ALWAYS WINS!!!!!!!!

ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!? Since when will a STOCK Raptor beat a STOCK ds650? Hell, A Raptor with a pipe and jet kit wont beat a stock ds. In fact I've raced a friend with a Raptor with a GYTR full system and I didn't have packing in my muffler which made mine slower and I still beat him!!! And if a stock Raptor will "smoke" a ds, where is your proof? No stock Raptor will beat a stock ds! I don't know where your coming from on this any way?

 

The air must be different in Wisconsin. Here in VA, DS650s are not known for beating Raptors. They are known for being too heavy and overheating though.

I just happen to have a digital picture of my Raptor pulling a DS650 out of the mud after it broke through the ice covering a small mud puddle (did I already say heavy?) Anywhere around here I can post it? You know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words:-)

MXBanshee87 - You have a point. I wonder how long Banshees are going to stay ahead of Raptors since our HP numbers are climbing a hell of a lot faster than yours did the first few years (RD350 ring a bell).

Going strictly from magazine shootouts, (surely they can at least get drag results right) I remember the Raptor being just a slight bit quicker than a DS650 stock for stock and the Raptor and Banshee being almost dead even.

I don't think anything stock will touch the 700 and when CT or Yoshi make a stainless dual exhaust and some performance clutching products start coming out, it will be even harder to keep up with one.

 

What in the hell does pulling a ds out of the mud have to with which is faster? READ THE HORSE POWER #'S FOR EACH IF YOU CAN FIND SOME, THEN TELL ME WHICH WOULD BE FASTER. I do believe the ds has a considerable amount more horsepower and torque than the raptor![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

Did I already say heavy?

I'm not going to tell you which would be faster after reading just HP numbers, I am going to tell you that Raptors are faster than DS650s. If you could take 100lbs off the DS650, it would beat a Raptor. Following that logic - if frogs had longer legs, their *** wouldn't hit the ground when they landed.

I checked out my december 2000 dirtwheels they did a shoot out with the DS, Raptor,400 ex
the DS does make 5 more HP But still lost in the drag race not by much but still lost

 

Hey now you Ds 650 and raptor owners dont start the argueing about whos faster we all know the predator is [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] lol joking . But its not really in stone that the raptor can out run the ds and that the ds can out run the raptor it has alot to do with rider skill and conditions.
