400EX VS Z400
#21
People looking to buy a new quad these days have all of that info and more, and Z's are outselling 400EX's by a huge margin,

Maybe Honda sold more last year, but I gaurantee that they are being outsold by Z400's now. The z does not handle different enought to notice. They are closer than any of you are saying. Its a difference of reverse, a little power, liquid cooling, and a Brand Name.
How can you say anything about reliability? there is nothing wrong with the Z as far as reliability goes, or the 400ex so its a draw again.
Dan't tell me about frames cracking, I have cracked the frame on my 400ex and not the Z400, axles too, Mine is fine, I have a first run Z and I have flatlanded from 40' Jumps and its fine. Besides you gotta get rid of a stock axle on either quad anyway so forget that.
Get the one you get the deal on, or like the name on. They are both great.

Wheelin',
I have owned both and found the handling differences to be negligible between them. They should should be as suzuki basically rebuilt the 250R geometry
ATVmadman,
Definitly get the Z. More current motor design (more hp potential), reverse and same racing potential.
